Seeds in reference with torrent is the number of file holders throughout the world.


In a p2p transaction, files accumulate from various users(it may be the domain which hosts the file), where seeds denote the number of file holders.


Here the green numbers denote the number of seeds.



Hence if the number of seeds are high files accumulate with greater speed subjected to a user's BANDWIDTH(provided by the network provider). 


It will vary with different file hosting domains with which users(seeds) are connected.
